Overview
You will write a 7-page Theology of Human Sexuality Paper Assignment in current APA format that focuses on the theology of healthy sexual development from a Christian worldview perspective. The Theology of Human Sexuality Paper Assignment will include three sections: (1) Christian worldview perspectives on healthy sexuality and God’s design for sexuality, (2) Healing and redemption of sexual wounds, and (3) Summary of your personal theology of sexuality. The Theology of Human Sexuality Paper Assignment must reference at least 8 scholarly resources in addition to the course materials and the Bible (at least 10 total).
Instructions
Be sure to include the following elements in your Theology of Human Sexuality Paper Assignment:
· Must be 6 – 8 pages
· Should be in current APA format and include: a title page, abstract, body of the paper (6-8 pages) and reference page using current APA formatting.
· You are to reference and cite at least 8 scholarly resources in addition to the course materials and the Bible. Acceptable sources are scholarly articles published within the last five years.
The Theology of Human Sexuality Paper Assignment should include the following three sections in the body:
· Christian worldview perspectives: Here, you should use Scripture and other Christian resources (including course materials) to describe and summarize a biblical/Christian worldview perspective on healthy human sexual development and God’s design for sexuality (approximately 2 pages).
· Healing of sexual wounds: Here, discuss the various ways humans experience sexual brokenness or wounds and explore methods for assessment and treatment for one of the possible areas of brokenness. Choose only one. Examples of areas of sexual brokenness you can choose from include sexual abuse, sexual assault, pornography, sexual betrayal, or any of the sexual dysfunctions mentioned in your texts (approximately 2 pages).
· Summary of personal theology: Here, you may write in first person. Describe your personal theology of human sexuality based on your spiritual beliefs and your understanding of God’s design. Support your opinions with Scripture and/or other materials. Note any differences or similarities from what you wrote in the first section (approximately 2 pages).
· Conclusion: Wrap up what you wrote about and include any steps you plan to take to learn more about human sexuality (approximately 1 page).
