You work in a small legal firm and are one of three directors of the firm. Over coffee with your executive assistant, you find out he is getting paid a flat rate of just $10 an hour and works in excess of 60 hours a week, including all day on Sunday. Your executive assistant does not want you to make a fuss about it because he is in the final year of his part-time law degree and regards the experience he is getting in the firm as critical to his future success as a lawyer (however, none of this work is able to be counted towards his practical legal training for the purposes of obtaining his Graduate Certificate of Legal Practice).**
**You have already had a short discussion with your co-directors, who have both firmly said that the arrangement works, is in everyone’s best interests, and that the firm will not be changing its payment structure for the entire administration team (of three) just because you have a different view.**
**Before the next conference, draft an email that you would send to your co-directors, in a Word document. Your aim is to inform and persuade the other directors to comply with the law, by reference to applicable employment principles and sample calculations for one week’s wage (you will need to make assumptions – do not worry if you do not have the exact information necessary to give you the definite amount of the underpayment).**
**Your email should be no more than 500 words.**
