The Principles, Theories of Organisational Behaviour and The Concepts of Individual and Group Dynamics
Understanding People, Work & Organisations focuses on concepts and theories relevant to the behaviour of people as individuals and groups within work organisations. It further provides an understanding of its impact on the individuals, their effectiveness, and the motivation to work.
You are to produce an assignment to show an understanding of theories of organisational behaviour and key concepts relating to individual and group dynamics within an organisation (Learning Outcomes 1 and 2 below).
Question 1 – Motivation (750 words):
Explain why motivating staff is such an important issue for organisations and then show how a real-world organisation has used an employee recognition scheme to motivate its employees (explain how the scheme worked and what impact it had).
Question 2 – Group and Team Dynamics (750 words):
Explain the concept of group dynamics and how it influences organisational behaviour and then show how different factors can support or hinder effective teamwork within an organisation.
