Specification Notes for Pile Caps:
- Excavation work shall commence from EGL.
- Reinforce concrete shall be of grade 35.
- There is a layer of 75 mm thick grade 15 lean concrete below each pile cap.
- Formwork shall be of sawn timber.
- First storey slab and ground beams are NOT to be measured.
- Concrete cover shall be 50 mm thick.
- Laps for binders shall be 1250 mm (3N1) and 450 mm (2L1 & 2N1).
Specification Notes for Bored Piles:
- Boring of pile holes shall commence for the existing ground level (EGL).
- The estimated driven depth for the piles is 27.00 m. Piles are required to be cut off at the required cut off level as indicated.
- Reinforced concrete shall be of grade 35. Concrete cover shall be 75 mm thick.
- Working load test shall be executed on one 1800 mm diameter piles up to 1.5 times the designed working load of the pile (1200t) and one 700 mm diameter piles (300t).
- Pile integrity test is to be executed on three selected piles.
- All empty bores shall be fill up with imported sand.
- Pile reinforcement shall be as follows:
| Pile Size | Main Bars | Helical/Spiral Links |
