8- Annotated Bibliographies: Students will summarize and briefly critique eight to ten references they plan to use for their thesis papers. The format will include each reference in APA style followed by a 150–250-word summary of each article, including the student’s specific concerns/accolades about methodology or conclusions. The summary will also include a brief statement of relevance to the thesis.

PSY 499 Annotated Bibliography Rubric 

Annotated bibliographies must be submitted to the respective Assignment box no later than

Sunday 11:59 PM EST/EDT of each module. (These Assignment boxes are linked to Turnitin.)

Each annotated bibliography submitted will be worth 80 points and will be graded according to the following rubric.

Part 2

Thesis Statement: Each student will craft a clear, concise, and falsifiable argumentative thesis statement early in the semester to facilitate the production of the final thesis paper.

Thesis Paper: Each student will choose one of the major psychological theories or perspectives covered in the course and submit an APA-style argumentative thesis paper before the class is complete. The paper must have a clear thesis statement. The student will use peer-reviewed research to provide support for his/her thesis statement. The student will also be required to synthesize relevant material to provide compelling support for the thesis statement.

PSY 499 Thesis Paper Instructions

Each student is responsible for the completion of an APA-style, argumentative thesis paper. The paper must be no less than 10 pages (double-spaced, 12-point font) in length (including the title and reference pages), and the paper must include at least 15 references from peer-reviewed journals (use only primary sources). 

Each student will choose one of the major psychological theories or perspectives covered in the course and submit a paper with a clear thesis statement. Each student will submit a thesis statement no later than the end of Module 2.

You will also prepare and submit an audio-narrated PowerPoint presentation of your thesis paper. This means you will need to record and embed a narrative for each of your slides; i.e., say what you would say if you were presenting in front of a live audience. Your presentation will be worth 100 points and will be graded according to this rubric

Part 3

Thesis Paper Presentation: Each student will create a brief presentation that summarizes his/her thesis paper. It is important that each and every student individually submit an audio narrated PowerPoint presentation as if the presentation were given in front of a live audience.
