The purpose of this scholarly activity is to analyze fundamental aspects of corporate finance management in multinational corporations. You will research a multinational corporation to focus on for the assignment, provide a brief overview, examine supply chains and working capital management, analyze financial management of the corporation, and make recommendations for financial decisions. Include the following components in your case study: 1. Select a multinational corporation (MNC): 2. Ensure there is sufficient data for analysis based on requirements listed below. Provide a brief overview of the MNC: In the introduction of your case study, describe the MNC, its business, products/services, and key markets. Highlight its operations in different countries. Discuss recent stock distributions through dividends or repurchases. 3. Analyze supply chains and working capital management (Choose 2 from below): Describe the company’s supply chain management strategy. Analyze the financing policies used by the MNC for its current assets. Evaluate the company’s cash conversion cycle. Discuss the company’s cash management techniques. Analyze the goals of the company’s inventory management. 4. Examine multinational financial management (Choose 2 from below): Enumerate reasons why the MNC decided to go global. Illustrate any significant transactions the MNC has had between countries with different currencies. Discuss challenges the MNC faces with floating exchange rates and its management strategies. Analyze the relationships the MNC has with inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. 5. Make recommendations: Based on your analysis, provide two to three recommendations for the MNC’s future financial decisions in the context of global operations. Explain how the MNC can use planning techniques to forecast operations. Examine internal controls the MNC can use to ensure its operations run smoothly and ethically in the global marketplace. 6. Provide a conclusion: Briefly summarize the key findings of your analysis. Compile your analysis and recommendations into a comprehensive report, ensuring it is well-structured and professionally presented. The report should range from four to five pages. You are required to use at least four sources. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Tactical financing decisions are essential as they guide a company’s immediate financial strategies. They encompass the decisions about how a company obtains and uses funds in the short term. In this journal entry, you will dive deep into a real-world example, analyzing a company’s recent tactical financing decision and suggesting alternative approaches. This exercise will help cement your understanding of the concepts from the lesson and textbook as you apply them in a practical context. Start by selecting a company whose recent tactical financing decision piqued your interest. It could be a company that recently went public, secured a new lease agreement, or issued hybrid financing instruments such as preferred stocks or convertible bonds. Analysis: Based on the knowledge you’ve gained in this unit, briefly describe the company’s recent tactical financing decision. Assess the potential benefits and challenges of this decision for the company. Alternative financing decisions: Drawing from your understanding of public and private financing, lease financing, and hybrid financing, propose at least two alternative financing strategies the company could have considered. Predict the potential impact of each of your proposed alternatives on the company’s value. Would your proposed alternatives increase or decrease the company’s value? Why? Reflection: Conclude your journal entry by reflecting on the importance of tactical financing decisions in the broader spectrum of corporate finance. What did you find most intriguing about the company’s choice, and how do you perceive the role of such decisions in shaping a company’s financial future? Ensure your journal entry is at least 200 words. Write clearly and concisely, focusing on providing a well-thought-out analysis. While references and citations are not mandatory, if you pull specific data or quotes, ensure they are accurately represented. Review your work for clarity and coherence before submitting.

    Assessment: Pitch your pedagogy

    Assignment Rationale

Early childhood teachers (ECT) need to have a thorough understanding of diverse theoretical and philosophical foundations of play-based pedagogies to critically consider the possibilities and challenges associated with incorporating play into our early childhood education practices. As an ECT, part of our responsibility is to advocate for the recognition and significance of play as a fundamental right of every child. Moreover, we must strive to create inclusive and collaborative learning environments that welcome diverse perspectives and allow for the development of a shared understanding of what ‘play’ entails, as well as the implications of implementing play-based pedagogies in early childhood policies and practices.

Assessment 1 requires students to critically engage with theoretical perspectives of play and reflect upon key issues presented in Modules 1-3 and create a digital presentation.

This assignment aligns with the following Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs)

Learning Outcome 1: Identify and analyse the role of play in learning and examine the challenges pertaining to play and pedagogies.

Learning Outcome 2: discuss the diversity of approaches to pedagogies utilised in early childhood education and care, and how they position children, teachers, and parents/carers.

Learning Outcome 3: analyse the relationships between philosophy, theory, and pedagogy to the learning environment for all young children (birth – 5 years).

Learning Outcome 4: critically reflect on personal philosophy to play and pedagogies for learning and teaching as an early childhood professional.

    Task Description
Imagine you are working in an early childhood education and care (ECEC) setting and have been asked to present at the family information night. Some families of children aged 4-5 years voice their concerns about the play-based approaches used in your setting. They believe their children should be engaged in more formal, academic approaches to prepare them for school. Other families are interested in the play-based approach but would like to know more about the potential value and benefits of play.
For assessment 1, your task is to prepare a ‘pitch’ to explain and justify the importance of a play-based pedagogical approach for children now and in their future.

    Instructions
    Step 1:
    Develop your Pitch
To ensure your pitch is well-organised and addresses all necessary elements you have been provided with a pitch template. You are required to fill in the ‘Assessment 1 Pitch Template’ and submit the completed document for grading.
    To access the template:
Go to the ‘Assessment Tasks and Submissions’ section of the unit learning site (Blackboard).
    Open the Assessment 1 folder.
Locate the Word document titled ‘Assessment 1 Pitch Template’.
Download the document and save it to your files.
Complete the pitch template with a detailed plan for your presentation. Include a brief description of each presentation slide (200 words maximum), and a reference list.
Your pitch must identify and justify the following elements:
Introduction: Introduce yourself to the service and briefly address the concerns raised by families (30 seconds to 1 minute).
Role of play: Explain the role of play in children’s learning, development and wellbeing, including an example of a play-based experience and activity. Remember to address different developmental domains (2 minutes).
Personal philosophy: Share your personal philosophy regarding play and how it influences your approach to teaching and learning (2 minutes).
Successful play-based learning environment: Discuss what contributes to a successful play-based learning environment, including physical, social, and temporal elements (2 minutes).
Challenges and solutions: Identify potential challenges when incorporating play into early childhood teaching and how to overcome them (2 minutes).
Summary and farewell: provide a summary and farewell note (30 seconds to 1 minute).
Your pitch must be supported and informed by:
At least 1 theoretical perspective presented in Module 2.
Academic sources (readings, journal articles, book chapters, etc.)

Professional sources and ECEC policies (Early Years Learning Framework, National Ouality Standard, United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Code of Ethics, Developmental Milestones)

Step 2: Create your Presentation slides
You are to create (insert max of 15 slides, preferably less) to visually support and enhance your presentation.
You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, or Canva to create your presentation slides. Resources on how to prepare the digital presentation are provided in the Assessment 1 Folder on Blackboard.
    Your presentation slides must:
use an easy-to-read font for the text on the slides (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman) and a 1.5 or double-line space.
    include clear headings
    Step 3: Record your Presentation
Record yourself delivering your 10-minute presentation. You may use Zoom, PowerPoint, or any other recording software to capture your presentation delivery and slides.
Save your recording as an MP4 file.

As a result of the extensive efforts to curb the incidence of domestic violence, private and non-profit resources are available to victims in nearly every community.

    1. Your assignment is to identify a private or non-profit domestic violence advocacy center and provide a detailed report on their services.
    2. Once you have identified an agency, you must also interview an employee from that agency in an effort to gain as much insight into their services as possible.

Some questions to consider asking include:

    • Identify all services that are provided.
    • Do they provide referrals to other entities for services that they do not provide?
    • What are their most commonly provided services?
    • Is there a fee structure associated with their services?
    • What are their funding sources?
    • Are staff members paid or volunteer status?
    • Describe the organizational structure of the agency.
    • Do their services extend to the children, families, and acquaintances of the victims?
    • Are resources available 24/7 and do they include shelter and protection when needed?
    • Do they interact with law enforcement and if so, in what capacity?
    • What are their confidentiality policies?
    • Do they provide long-term, extended services beyond case disposition?
    • These are just a few areas to consider for your interview, but they are in no way the only questions and topics of discussion for your inquiry. The bottom line is to provide a thorough and comprehensive summary of the agency.
    1. After you have completed your appraisal of their operations, provide a conclusion regarding your view of the effectiveness of their services.
    2. What additional recommendations would you make to improve their operations?
