Pick a political or business figure of your choice and comment on how he/she might react to the key insights of the NCO111 study guide. Your answer must take the form of an essay.

Additional Guidelines

Excellent (8-10 marks)

But the writer falls short of an “Excellent” grade because a few arguments are unclear/buried, confused/incoherent, and/or irrelevant to the needs of the question.

Good (6-7 marks)

. A large number of the writer’s arguments are unclear/buried, confused/incoherent, and/or irrelevant to the needs of the question
or
. The writer has articulated an insufficient number of arguments.Average (4-5 marks)
. There are no arguments in the essay.
or
. The writer’s arguments are completely irrelevant to the needs of the question.Needs Work (0-3 marks)
Use of Evidence
(40 marks)
. The writer has adduced an impressive amount of relevant, clear, detailed, accurate, and non-generic evidence (e.g. quotations, statistics, specific examples, etc.) in support of his/her arguments.
. The evidence is of such high quality that the reader is highly likely to find the writer’s arguments to be persuasive.
. The writer has provided clear and comprehensible citations as and where necessary.Excellent (30-40 marks)
For the most part, the writer has backed up his/her arguments with relevant, clear, detailed, accurate, and non-generic evidence (e.g. quotations, statistics, specific examples, etc.).

But the writer falls short of an “Excellent” grade due to (any of) the following reasons:

. A few arguments are not sufficiently backed with evidence.
. Some of the evidence used is irrelevant, unclear, inaccurate, and/or excessively generic.
. Clear and comprehensible citations are missing from some parts of the essay.

Good (24-29 marks)

The writer will be awarded an “Average” grade for this row of the rubric if his/her essay displays any of the following weaknesses:

. A large number of the writer’s arguments are not sufficiently backed with evidence.
. A large amount of the evidence used is irrelevant, unclear, inaccurate, and/or excessively generic.
. Clear and comprehensible citations are missing from most parts of the essay.

Average (16-23 marks)

. The writer did not back up his/her points with any evidence at all.
or
. The evidence produced by the writer is completely irrelevant to his/her arguments and/or the needs of the question.Needs Work (0-15 marks)
Analysis / Engagement with NCO111 Study Guide
(50 marks)
. The writer demonstrates a sophisticated and accurate understanding of the key insights of the tma  study guide.
. The reactions suggested by the writer are grounded in clear, coherent, logical, and sophisticated engagement with the key insights of the  study guide.
. The writer’s analysis is of such high quality that the reader is highly likely to find the writer’s arguments to be persuasive.Excellent (38-50 marks)
For the most part, the reactions suggested by the writer are grounded in clear, logical, and thoughtful engagement with the key insights of the tma study guide.

But the writer falls short of an “Excellent” grade due to (any of) the following reasons:

. He/she misidentified or misunderstood some of the key insights of the study guide.
. He/she suggested some reactions that are not sufficiently grounded in clear, logical, and thoughtful engagement with the key insights of the study guide.
. There is a decent quantity of analysis / engagement with the  study guide in the essay, but not enough to achieve an “Excellent” grade.

Good (30-37 marks)

The writer will be awarded an “Average” grade for this row of the rubric if his/her essay displays any of the following weaknesses:

. The writer suggested a large number of reactions that are founded on unclear, illogical, and/or superficial engagement with the key insights of .

Average (20-29 marks)

. The writer’s analytical insights are completely irrelevant to the needs of the question.Needs Work (0-19 marks)
