Assignment Title: CW2 Submission of 2 essays of 1,500 words each (+/-10%)
Description of the assignment, task, content and structure:
There will be six essay questions, one on each of the six topics we cover in this module:
- Organisational and HRM Strategy
- Strategic Leadership
- Pay and Reward
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- International HRM
- Performance Management
Please choose TWO QUESTIONS from the list that will be released on Canvas on 7 April 2025 at 9am.
Prepare and compile your essays into ONE Microsoft Word document and upload as a submission on Canvas.
Your essays must be submitted by Friday 11 April by 5pm – that gives you 5 days (104 hours) to prepare and submit your assignment.
The title of your essay(s) is the question you have chosen to answer so please include this at the beginning of each essay – the title is NOT included in the word count.
Academic essays should NOT have headings, bullet points or diagrams – start your essay with an introductory paragraph and finish with a clear conclusion. For each of your two essays, use only two headings – one for your essay title (the question) and one for your reference list.
Each essay should be 1,500 words (+/-10%) which means each essay should be no less than 1,350 words and no more than 1,650 words. FEWER words will mean your essay is not detailed enough and MORE words will mean that the marker must deduct marks. The Title (Question) and each Reference list is EXCLUDED from this word count, but intext citations ARE included.
Each essay requires a MINIMUM of 15 references. This means you should compile two reference lists with a minimum total of 30 – one list after each essay. All of the theories and models you discuss MUST be from the module list here or you will lose marks.
For more information and guidance, please look at the video and/or the slide presentation on Canvas or ask your Tutor or any of the Module Lead team in person or email them – contact details are on Canvas. Example essays are available on Canvas and further guidance will be given during the module delivery.
