Analyze current early childhood issues and trends to inform professional practice. This Written-Response Assessment consists of eight items about key issues and trends in the current field of early childhood. You will answer questions about topics that particularly impact early childhood professionals, such as support for high quality public pre-K programs, evolving teacher education requirements, and changing demographics that place new demands on programs and professionals. You will also answer questions about the latest research regarding children’s brain health, debates about safety concerns and how they have an effect on children’s development, and questions about appropriate use of technology and screen time for young children.
